The
Penderwicks: A Summer Tale of Four Sisters, Two Rabbits, and a Very
Interesting Boy Have you ever been on a vacation that you and your family still talk about? Well, the Penderwicks did! It isn't exactly what they had planned. In fact, the vacation to a cottage at Arundel is a last-minute substitute for their regular vacation house on Cape Cod, and it turns out to be a vacation they ...and the owners of Arundel...will never forget! The four Penderwick girls who range in age from four to twelve have very different personalities. Perhaps it is their strong personalities that cause many of their problems, but it may also be the strength of their differences that help them to survive the series of catastrophes. It is there that Jeffrey is introduced to fun. Jeffrey, a lonely, but talented 11-year old pianist lives in the Arundel mansion with his disapproving mother. For three weeks, he enjoys a fleeting new world of adventure sandwiched between the mischievous girls and his snobby mother. Get ready for some laugh-out-loud fun as the Penderwicks and Hound tromp through the Arundel gardens and, in the process, rescue a friend! Research Links for The Penderwicks:
