What To Do About Alice?: How Alice Roosevelt Broke the Rules, Charmed the World, and Drove Her Father Teddy Crazy!
by Barbara Kerley

Texas Bluebonnet Award NomineeSM

"Alice was unruly and inconsiderate. She was turning into a tomboy!"

President Theodore Roosevelt had everything under control... that is, until his daughter Alice was born. She entertained White House guests with her pet snake, educated herself in the library, but it seemed like she was always breaking the rules. Her daddy called her a "running riot." As she grew, she made waves wherever she went. She wanted to be in every headline and be the topic of everyone's conversation. The newspapers said that everyone loved Alice! As a woman, she stayed involved in politics, and continued to drive her father crazy, breaking the rules.
