A
Dog on His Own "'My
heart is pounding fast. You never know what to expect at a shelter or
pound." If a dog could talk, how would he describe his life on the run? Would he rather be in a shelter or on his own? What dangers lie in wait for him? What clever moves does he have to make? What alliances must he form to stay alive? A Dog On His Own is a bitter sweet story of a homeless dog and his travels to try to find a place where he can belong. Written, for the most part, in dialog with spare narration, the story can easily be read in small groups as a readers' theater script. Research
