Sea
Horse: The Shyest Fish in the Sea
by Chris Butterworth
"Seahorses
look as magical as mermaids." Author
Chris Butterworth.
Sea
horses look like tiny swimming horses. If you would
like to ride a sea horse, you would need to be the
size of an ant! You would have to have sharp eyes
to find their hiding places because these tiny fish
are very shy. They are interesting little fish. The
daddy sea horse carries hundreds of the mother sea
horse's eggs in his pouch until they hatch and are
born, free to swim away by themselves. But, there
are many dangers awaiting them. There is much more
to learn about the sea horse, but you won't want to
put them in your aquarium because their numbers are
diminishing rapidly, and they do not live long in
captivity.
Beautiful
woodcut illustrations in Chris Butterworth's Sea Horse:
The Shyest Fish in the Sea will bring to life the
story of the sea horse and the life cycle of this
tiny fish.
