Use 100 one- or two-ounce
cups, like pill cups.
Fill 97 to the top
with salt water, two with frozen water, and 1 with fresh water.
The cups represent the amount of water on earth.
This graphically demonstrates
the relatively small amount of fresh water available to life that
lives on the land. It should start a deep discussion of the stark
dangers of water pollution!
Global warming is causing
the melting of polar ice caps. How will this affect the earth?
Melt the water ice in the two "frozen water" cups. Pour
them into the already full salt water cups. Note
how flooding takes place on coastlines!

this great activity with us!
