Molly
the Pony
by Pam Kaster
Hurricane
Katrina devasted the Louisana coast on the Gulf of Mexico. One
little pony named Molly was abandoned and alone. Two weeks later
she was found trapped in her little barn. In her new home, something
even more terrible happened to her, something that cost Molly
her right front leg.
This
is the story of the work of many doctors and workers at Louisiana
State University School of Veterinary Medicine who saved Molly's
life and gave her a chance to walk again. It is also the story
of the hope and courage that Molly brings to children and adults
who are sick and who also have a prosthetic limb.
Illustrated
with photographs in a photo album format, the story is a powerful
one for all ages.
