Lemonade
in Winter Pauline comes up with a creative plan to make a lemonade stand and, together with her little brother, John-John, they undertake what their parents warn them will not be easy. Why? Because it's WINTER! Snow is everywhere! Freezing winds are blowing! Who would buy ice-cold lemonade during the icy cold winter? Where will they get the ingredients? How will they pay for them? What a funny way to introduce potential entrepreneurs to the joys of creating a business and applying math skills! Even as an anticipatory set for older kids, Lemonade in Winter's embedded themes can inspire discussion and extension among all ages. Research
