It’s not
a 5K… or a 10K Would you be willing to pledge Terri per mile or for the run? Lillie’s Kitties team is announcing their fundraising efforts for the Lavaca County Relay For Life! In honor of their team’s survivor, Lillijo Kitten, one of the members, Terri McGee, will be running a “Lillie-K” in her honor. Terri will be running the 12.2 miles from town to Lillijo’s home in Wied on Saturday morning, April 4. The route will begin at the First Baptist Church at 501 East 2nd street, where the team originates and where Lillijo comes to worship and find strength in her battle against ovarian cancer. Terri’s run will proceed by Lavaca Medical Center, where Lillijo received her diagnosis, and then continue down county roads to Wied, ending at her perky pink house beside Wied Hall, where she lives with her husband and best friend, Bruce. Please call Lillijo Kitten at 361-798-2032 to give your pledge… or visit The American Cancer Society's site for their www.relayforlife.org/lavacacotx to pledge to Terri McGee’s name. You can use your credit card online! Whether it is a nickel, a dollar or 10 dollars per mile..it all counts! After the run, all monies can be turned in to team members or online to our team, with checks made payable to the American Cancer Society. Checks can be mailed directly to Terri at 6457 FM 1891, Hallettsville, TX 77964. In addition to the run, Lillie’s Kitties will also be hosting a bake sale at Wal-Mart on Good Friday, April 10, and, at the same time, garage sale at 207 Kroschell in Hallettsville, TX.
