----------------------------------------------------
TitleWrite a short paragraph here to introduce the webquest to the students. If there is a role or scenario involved (e.g., "You are a biologist trying to discover the best type of zoo habitat for ONE animal.") then here is where you will set the stage. One alternative to that is to use this section to provide a short overview or organizer. (e.g., "Many animals in the world are endangered. Zoos work to provide these animals homes that are most like their real homes.")
----------------------------------------------------
The TaskDescribe crisply and clearly what the end result of the learners' activities will be. The task could be a:
series of questions that must be answered, summary to be created, problem to be solved, position to be defended, creative work (e.g., write a book or brochure, put on a play, create a mural), or anything that requires the learner to TRANSFORM (not regurgitate) the information they've gathered. ----------------------------------------------------
Resources
Use this space to point out places on the internet (or physical resources in the classroom) that will be available for the learners to use to accomplish the task.----------------------------------------------------
The ProcessTo accomplish the task, what steps should the learn go through? Use the list format (in pull-down menu marked "Normal" at the top of a Netscape Composer page).
1. This is step one.... 2. In step two.... 3. ...and so on ----------------------------------------------------
EvaluationLink to a rubric that helps the learner evaluate the product that was created. Clearly define the expectations of each level so students can work to achieve the grade they prefer.
----------------------------------------------------
ConclusionPut a couple of sentences here that summarize what they will have accomplished or learned by completing this webquest. You might also include some rhetorical questions that encourage them to extend their thinking to other content.
